Educational purpose only

All content on this website and all classes, workshops, trainings, materials, consultations, and support offered by Jabez & Rivers Feet are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not medical advice, nursing advice, midwifery care, mental health treatment, diagnosis, or treatment of any kind.

We are not licensed clinical providers

Jabez & Rivers Feet provides childbirth education, doula-style non-clinical support, advocacy training, and provider education. We do not practice medicine, nursing, or midwifery. We do not perform clinical assessments, prescribe, diagnose, deliver babies, or provide medical procedures of any kind.

Always consult your healthcare provider

Never disregard, delay, or replace professional medical advice because of something you read or hear from us. Decisions about your pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and health should be made with a qualified, licensed healthcare provider who knows your history.

Emergencies

This website is not for emergencies. If you are experiencing a medical emergency — including severe bleeding, severe abdominal pain, severe headache, vision changes, decreased fetal movement, chest pain, trouble breathing, signs of preterm labor, or thoughts of harming yourself or others — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department immediately. In the U.S., you can also reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

No provider–patient relationship

Using this website, submitting a form, attending a class, or communicating with us does not create a physician–patient, nurse–patient, midwife–client, or therapist–client relationship.

No guaranteed outcomes

Every pregnancy, birth, and family is different. We do not guarantee any specific birth outcome, health result, experience, or interaction with any hospital, provider, or health system. Education and advocacy skills can help you participate in your care; they cannot control clinical outcomes.

Third-party resources and recommendations

Our website may reference or link to outside organizations, materials, professionals, and resources. These references are shared for convenience and general awareness. We do not control, endorse, guarantee, or take responsibility for third-party content, services, or care.

Professional training audiences

Trainings offered to hospitals, clinics, doulas, birth workers, and community organizations are educational programs. They are not accreditation, certification, licensure, credentialing, or clinical supervision unless a written agreement expressly states otherwise.

Your responsibility

  • You are responsible for the decisions you make about your care and your family.
  • You are responsible for verifying information with your own licensed providers.
  • Attendees and organizations are responsible for applying training content within their own scope of practice, policies, and applicable law.
